Is consuming carbonated water good or bad for health?

Carbonated is also known as the sparkling water. We have heard a lot about carbonated water or in short you can just say, sparkling water and this term has been used by people since many years. We very well know that how water is important for health and if we don’t consume water then we can suffer from various problems that can affect our health very much.

Therefore we are always advised to have proper amount of water so that our body gets the proper content of water and we are able to live a healthy life. But then people are much attracted towards the sparkling water and why is it so? Carbonated water is the water that has been infused with carbon dioxide gas under pressure.

Now, this produces a bubbly drink which results into sparkling water, club soda, soda water, seltzer water and fizzy water. So till now we have an idea of what is carbonated water and we can also notice that many people consume carbonated on daily basis.

Now, the main question is, is the carbonated water good for health or bad? Here, carbon dioxide is there and therefore it won’t be wrong to say that carbonated water is acidic because the carbon dioxide and the water reacts chemically to produce the carbonic acid which affects the nerve receptors.

And not only this, according to the studies, it has been found that carbonated water can interfere with dental problems, can affect the digestion and can result in bad bone health. But on the other side, it can improve the heart’s health along with relieving constipation and curing swallowing problems as well.

Therefore it would be difficult to decide whether it’s good or bad for health. Because carbonated  water has both positive and negative side.
